The bullshit constitutional ammendment for Arizona banning gay marriage passed this year.

This is just more proof that voting is nothing more than a "legal" form of force and these damn religious assholes (not all of course...I'm sure many theists don't care about gay marriage and would support it) know how to work this fucked up system perfectly.
Here is something I thought about doing a lot near my home where I saw many of these signs, but I never acted:

There is so much truth to that sign after someone had the guts to tell it like it is.
It says, "Intolerance is NOT a family value." So true.
But one decent thing about this election is that John McCain didn't get elected president and, while I don't know much about Barack Obama, he is better than McCain, and that religious nut Sarah Palin, who would've been vice-president.
But the truth is that either one represents force and the state, which restricts all peoples' freedoms.
I am so not proud of the passage of that law.
ReplyDeleteThose signs were everywhere and they vanished almost literally the day after. Prop 102 had a powerful, well-funded machine behind it who must have paid tens of thousands of dollars in order to spread its propaganda. Certainly Phoenix saw hundreds of these signs, making it onto street corners, lurking in the median... And they were huge too.
It was just amazing the sheer wealth that had to back that up.
I completely agree. I was passing by a sign one day and read the fine print that stated how the funding was provided by some religious organization, but I cannot remember who exactly. That proves right there that this whole thing was religiously motivated. It just makes me sick.
